Mid Bedfordshire MP Alistair Strathern Visits Town Council

Last night, Town Councillors were pleased to welcome Alistair Strathern MP to the Council’s final meeting of 2023! Alistair spoke about his first eight weeks in office as MP for Mid Bedfordshire and his plans and priorities to support local people.
Areas discussed included access to healthcare, the cost-of-living crisis (including Alistair’s ongoing work to secure additional collection at local supermarkets for Flitwick Community Fridge) and the need to secure investments in local infrastructure and affordable housing. Alistair also highlighted the need to improve the commercial offer and quality of the public realm in Flitwick Town Centre.
