Welcome to Proud Ampthill & Flitwick

Proud Ampthill & Flitwick (Proud AF) is a grant-funded joint initiative with Ampthill Town Council, which offers a range of services and events for the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

Working together with LGBT Bedfordshire, Proud AF was officially launched in February 2023 at a LGBTQ+ History Month Reception at The Rufus Centre.

In our launch year we celebrated LGBTQ+ History Month in February with two Meet the Author events sessions organised in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Libraries and a special songwriting residency at Redborne Upper School. In June we had a fantastic turn out for our first Pride picnic in Ampthill Great Park.

PICNIC IN THE PARK

This year's Pride Picnic takes place on Sunday 7th June. Everyone welcome at Ampthill Great Park for a wonderful, chilled and relaxing afternoon with great company and music.
