Community Grants

We’re keen to support local organisations, groups and charities who provide support and opportunities for people living and working in the town. The Town Council offers grants to help with many different activities across the community. Grants are awarded twice a year with grant applications considered in April and October.  There is also an opportunity for late grant applications to be made.

Flitwick Town Council support a number of local groups and organisations through the community grant scheme each year.

The grant application round for April is now open.  Application forms need to be submitted by 19th March 2021.  For more information on the community grants application process please refer to our Grants Policy.

CBC Grants

Central Bedfordshire Council offer community grants. You can find more information and how to apply on the Central Bedfordshire Council website.

Flitwick Combined Charities

Flitwick Combined Charities provide Educational Grants and Relief in Need grants for Flitwick residents.

Resident Driven Projects

The Resident Driven Projects initiative give you the opportunity to gain funding for a project that you lead on with the support of the Town Council. This exciting opportunity is something quite different to a grant as it gives you the chance to deliver a project with the help of the Council.

To be eligible the following criteria must be met:

• Direct benefit to Flitwick residents
• Wide appeal to all parts of the community
• Costs to include both capital and maintenance
• Deliverable and cost not to exceed £10,000

Work is continuing on the first Resident Drive Projects chosen when the initiative was launched in 2018. The three projects are all for Manor Park:

A wildflower meadow
A pond dipping platform
Three uniquely carved natural benches

We hope residents will be able to enjoy the benefits of these projects at Manor Park for many years to come.
