Community Grants

We’re keen to support local organisations, groups and charities who provide support and opportunities for people living and working in the town. The Town Council offers grants to help with many different activities across the community. Grants are awarded twice a year with grant applications considered in April and October.  There is also an opportunity for late grant applications to be made.

Flitwick Town Council support a number of local groups and organisations through the community grant scheme each year.

Resident Driven Projects

The Resident Driven Projects initiative gives you the opportunity to gain funding for a project that you lead on with the support of the Town Council. This exciting opportunity is something quite different to a grant as it gives you the chance to deliver a project with the help of the Council.

£5,000 is available for the initiative, so your ideas could really make a difference.

To be eligible the following criteria must be met:

  • Projects should not involve lasting changes or capital investment on Council land or buildings.
  • Flitwick Town Council will only select one project per financial year irrespective of the cost.
  • Project must have direct benefits to residents of Flitwick.
  • Wide appeal to all parts of the Community.
  • Proposals by Flitwick residents only.
  • Projects to be delivered and completed within 12 months.
  • Projects to be delivered by the applicant with limited support from Council.
