GREEN LIGHT FOR MANOR PARK HERITAGE WORKS

Planning consent has been given for heritage works for the repair and restoration of the South Gate (on the A5120 opposite Flitvale) and the ornamental bridge in the arboretum at Manor Park.
The majority of the work will be funded by Central Bedfordshire Council’s Green Infrastructure Planning Obligations Funding.
Work is due to start in the next couple of months.
In addition, work is currently taking place to reinstate a footpath alongside the road from the South Gate to the main entrance which will provide more opportunities for people to explore the beautiful park.
The Council is very grateful to the Parish Paths Partnership (PS3) volunteers who have been working with our Public Realm Team on this project. The new footpath work is expected to be completed by the summer.
