Flitwick War Memorial Gains Listed Status

Flitwick War Memorial was granted Grade II listed status by Historic England this summer.
The War Memorial was officially listed on the National Heritage List for England on 8th June for both architectural and historic interests.
The granite memorial at Flitwick Town Square was unveiled in October 1920 dedicated to the 29 local men who served and fell in the First World War. The ceremony was attended by the Duke of Bedford and and local dignitaries.
Following the Second World War a further 14 names of the fallen were added to the memorial.
