Flitwick Town Council Response to the Sites proposed through Central Bedfordshire Council’s (CBC) Local Plan Submitted Sites Consultation.

The response was considered and approved at an Extraordinary Meeting of Flitwick Town Council held last night.

The sites have been grouped into three categories:

Section 1: Sites that Flitwick Town Council supports for inclusion in the new Local Plan.

Section 2: Sites that Flitwick Town Council would support, subject to the identified constraints being satisfactorily addressed.

Section 3: Sites to which Flitwick Town Council has strong objections.

Although a professional distribution company was commissioned to deliver the Town Council’s consultation leaflet informing residents about the consultation and how to engage with the process, we are aware that there have been multiple issues with door-to-door delivery in some areas. We are working at pace to try and rectify this.

If you are attending the Flitwick Car Show on Sunday at Millennium Park, Town Councillors will be available in the Village Hall from 10am to 3pm with a large map displaying the submitted sites. Copies of the consultation form will also be available for anyone who has not yet completed one.

In addition, an information display is available at The Rufus Centre Flitwick where copies of the leaflet consultation form can be collected.

The Town Council will be delivering completed forms to Central Bedfordshire Council’s offices at Chicksands on Monday 17th August. To ensure your response is included in this delivery, please return completed forms to the Town Council offices at The Rufus Centre by 12 noon on Monday.
