Community Fridge Initiative

Final preparations are now underway for our new Community Fridge initiative, designed to provide support for residents with the cost of living crisis and rising food costs, and to help reduce food waste.
When up and running, the Community Fridge will offer surplus fresh food which will be available to collect for free from The Rufus Centre.
🥕🍊🥦Today we are delighted that Flitvale Garden Centre has kindly donated surplus fresh fruit and vegetables which is available to pick up between 8am and 8pm until stocks last. We really appreciate their support for our new initiative!
We will let you know when the Community Fridge is open on an ongoing basis.
If you would like to know more about the Community Fridge or are a business who may have food to donate please contact our Community Services Manager, Susan Eldred by emailing susaneldred@flitwick.gov.uk or call 01525 631900.
You can find out more about support and advice available to help with the cost of living crisis, including our new warm space at The Hub starting this Monday 9th January here.
