Flitwick Civic Service

Thank you to everyone who attended the Flitwick Civic Service on Sunday 9th October at Flitwick Parish Church conducted by Reverend Claire Harald, and Reverend Tim Diaper from Kings Church, Flitwick.
It was a beautiful afternoon for the event hosted by Cllr Andy Snape, Flitwick Town Mayor, with guests attending the service from across the county, including the HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Susan Lousada. A guard of honour was formed by members of The Flitwick Branch of the Royal British Legion and 1985 Flitwick Squadron Air Training Corp.
Guests enjoyed performances from the Caritas Singers and a special poem read by Scarlett, a student at Woodlands Middle School, chosen from a selection written specifically for the service entitled ‘Our Community’. Donations from the service will be shared between the Town Mayor’s charities, Flitwick Food Extra and Citizens Advice Mid Bedfordshire.
The Church looked magnificent with its wonderful autumnal floral displays.
