New Town Councillor

Flitwick Town Council is delighted to welcome Clare Thompson as a new Town Councillor. Clare was co-opted to serve as a Councillor at the Town Council meeting on 21st July.

Councillor Thompson grew up in Flitwick and still lives in the town commuting to London for her job as a Senior Planning Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support. Councillor Thompson is also a Trustee of Respite at Home Volunteers and a volunteer tutor for The Access Project.

Commenting on her co-option Councillor Thompson said: “I am excited to take my seat on the Town Council and look forward to being part of projects to keep improving Flitwick for all its residents (present and future).”

If you are interested in becoming a Town Councillor an election is due for another Councillor position. The original election date was suspended due to Covid-19. The vacancy will be publicised when a new date for
the election is issued by Central Bedfordshire Council.
