Community Grants Awarded from the Flitwick Town Mayor’s Charity
July 30, 2025

We’re delighted to announce that the funds raised by Town Mayor, Cllr John Roberts, during the 2024/25 Civic Year have been allocated to several fantastic local groups and projects. These groups have been personally chosen by Cllr Roberts through his work as Mayor and are endorsed by the charity trustees.
This is part of a new approach to fundraising, where the Town Mayor will focus on supporting one leading charity each year, alongside the Flitwick Town Mayor’s Charity.
This year, the Mayor is raising funds for Citizens Advice Mid Bedfordshire, as well as supporting local causes through the Town Mayor’s Community Grants programme.
We know there are lots of brilliant organisations in Flitwick doing great work. There will likely be a chance to apply for grants from the Town Mayor’s Community Fund at the end of this financial year.
Town Mayor’s Community Grants Awarded for 2024/25

In total, Cllr Roberts has awarded £5,500 in Community Grants, alongside £3,352.57 donated to Keech Hospice Care, bringing the overall fundraising total for 2024/25 to a brilliant £8,852.57.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this fantastic total. Your support continues to make a real difference in Flitwick. A special mention to Flitwick resident Mark Rankine, who raised over £1,500 towards this achievement!
