JUMPING HIGH AT FLITWICK YOUTH SKATE COMPETITION

There was a great turn out at the Flitwick Youth Skate Competition yesterday at Millennium Park organised by FTC and 4YP.   Despite the ever changing weather conditions the majority of competitions were able to take place before the event was cut short due to the rain.
The event would not have been possible without the help and support of many people who made the day such a great success, kindly providing their services free of charge – the musicians, graffiti artists, judges, sponsors and all those who donated prizes.
The Council would particularly like to thank Joe Smethan and Tierney Joel who helped organise the competition, working tirelessly behind the scenes leading up to the event and on the day itself.
Musicians entertained the crowd and graffiti artists produced some fantastic artworks during the competition.
Huge congratulations to all of the winners and to all the young people who took part, demonstrating their many talents on the skateboards and scooters.
