GETTING AROUND

FlitwickTownCouncil - GettingAround

We’re keen to encourage people to choose sustainable travel options such as cycling, walking and public transport where possible.

By Bike

One of the easiest ways to get around Flitwick and surrounding villages is to cycle. As part of their Travel Choices programme Central Bedfordshire Council has produced a series of detailed maps which include information on promoted cycle routes, traffic free cycle paths and cycle parking locations including one for Ampthill and Flitwick.

If you are keen to get cycling but don’t have a bike Central Bedfordshire Council also run a bike recycling scheme

On foot

The town is easily accessible on foot and has a good network of public footpaths. GetOutside, Sustrans and Let’s Go! have maps and useful information on both walking and cycling routes in the area.

By Public Transport

There are regular bus services from different operators connecting Flitwick to Bedford and surrounding areas.

Taxis are available from Flitwick Station
