Flitwick has seen a large amount of housing development over the past forty years mainly due to the excellent rail link to London.The Town Council offers grants to local organisations, groups and charities that provide support, projects and opportunities for people in Flitwick. Welcome to Flitwick, Bedfordshire Flitwick has seen a large amount of housing development over the past forty years mainly due to the excellent rail link to London.However there are many areas of historical and environmental interest amongst which are the 12th century Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, the Mill, Flitwick Manor - now a hotel, the Moor, once a source of peat for villagers and the Manor Park, originally part of the Manor estate in the ownership of the Brooks family but now owned by the Town Council for the pleasure and use of the community. |
