Grants 2011-12

The Town Council offers grants to local organisations, groups and charities that provide support, projects and opportunities for people in Flitwick.   If you are looking for funding please request an application form from the office or email emmaharris@flitwick.gov.uk.

Application forms need to be returned to the Town Council along with a copy of the previous years accounts by Friday 5th November.

Welcome to Flitwick, Bedfordshire

Welcome to FlitwickFlitwick has seen a large amount of housing development over the past forty years mainly due to the excellent rail link to London.




However there are many areas of historical and environmental interest amongst which are the 12th century Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, the Mill, Flitwick Manor - now a hotel, the Moor, once a source of peat for villagers and the Manor Park, originally part of the Manor estate in the ownership of the Brooks family but now owned by the Town Council for the pleasure and use of the community.
 

Additional Town Council Meeting

Thursday 9th September

An additional Town Council meeting has been called for Members to consider the Center Parcs plans and a consultation document on Local Referendums to veto excessive council tax increases.

Notice of Vacancy in Office of Councillor

Parish of Flitwick West
Notice is hereby given

that due to the resignation of Michael Ashton, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.

If by 22 September, 2010 (14 days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place not later than 24 November, 2010.
